Amanda joined Spring Ridge Academy’s staff as a Community Life Director this fall. She grew up in small Iowa town and graduated from Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa with a degree in Fine Arts. Her focuses were painting and pottery.
Prior to completing her undergraduate degree, Amanda studied abroad. While in Romania, she worked at an experiential education camp for kids with HIV and AIDS, where she realized the significant role experiential education played toward building confidence and leadership skills. Amanda’s passion for experiential education grew and continued through adventure-based schools in Montana, Korea and Nepal.
After getting married, Amanda and her husband wanted to be closer to family and warmer weather. She relocated to Prescott and immediately started working at Spring Ridge Academy. “Some of my favorite things about working with teenage girls are their energy, their depth, knowing that they have the ability to change their path, and their openness to allowing others to join them. I am thankful that I get to play a role in the lives of the girls at Spring Ridge Academy.”
