Job Description:

This person is responsible for overseeing students at a female adolescent emotional growth boarding school. Interested applicants must possess common sense, good personal boundaries / judgment, effective communication skills, organizational skills, ability to see the big picture, qualities of an effective team member, ability to create agreement, solution oriented problem solving and willingness to be a responsible role model demonstrating accountability. Sustaining professional conduct is a necessity. Applicant needs to be aligned with vision and philosophy of Spring Ridge Academy and represents it to their department and other departments, clients and parents.

Duties include:
• Involvement and participation in group process
• Facilitation of peer meetings focusing on problem solving and goal setting
• Implementing and daily supervision of behavioral and emotional interventions and plans
• Crisis Management and effectiveness with teenage girls who have a background of trauma, substance abuse, oppositional behaviors, anxiety, depression and operate in extremes
• Assist students in daily functions
• Assisting students in being aware of their patterns of behavior and choices
• Assisting a group of up to 16 students in functioning better through communication, problem solving, personal responsibility and accountability.
• Utilizing group and peer dynamics as a tool for growth and learning
• Crisis Intervention
• Upholding all policies and procedures as outlined in SRA policy and procedures

Job Qualifications:

1. Education & Experience/Skills: Bachelors degree in psychology, education, recreation or related field or experience with adolescents and / or working with groups of “special needs” clients
2. Behavioral Health: Meet all Behavioral Health requirements - Fingerprint verification check; Health examination; TB test; CPR and First Aid Certified; sign all agreements as required
