Message from a Spring Ridge Alum Parent

Spring Ridge Academy Alum Parent quote" Things were certainly not perfect when my daughter came home but unquestionably her life had been saved and she had an inner resolve to persevere.

This is a bit blurry but here is a definite success story 12 years after Spring Ridge Academy. My daughter is a wife and a mother of a 22-month-old son. She has a great job at an international company, both she and her husband have worked from home since the pandemic started. Her world revolves around that sweet little fellow, and she is a great mom. One positive thing for sure in her post-Spring Ridge Academy life was having loving support from family and finding unconditional love from her married family. Her remaining 2 high school years were challenging because she had to depend on the strength and resolve not to give in to old temptations. She didn’t have a many-branched support system and had to rely on completely new relationships. The way forward after Spring Ridge Academy has different challenges but the rewards are so great.

This might be totally off the wall but if there is ever a need for a parent who has journeyed through, to, and past SRA with their daughter, to communicate in written word or even in person with parents I would be very willing to do so.

Therapeutic boarding school, if that is still the term, is both devastating and lifesaving for a family. Things were certainly not perfect when my daughter came home but unquestionably her life had been saved and she had an inner resolve to persevere. Our relationship with our daughter has to be better than it would have been, but it is not a storybook ending.
